Debt Advice – Tip Of The Day – Holiday Shopping
As I struggled through the traffic today to catch a couple of sales that I procrastinated in purchasing, I noticed a common theme at the cash registers of every store I visited. Special offers to apply for a store credit card and get a discount on the spot. It is obvious that I am no proponent of debt
But I wouldn’t stop someone from taking advantage of additional savings when you can get it. I would definitely say don’t do it unless the savings are significant or it has rewards for using it.
I am hoping you planned on paying in some form of cash for the purchase that you are considering putting on the store card, so if you are moving forward with the deal, pay the balance as soon as you get the invoice if not sooner! The goal of my rantings is to move everyone toward awareness of spending, debt elimination, and living the life of financial independance. So please, when that store card shows up in the mail, it probably is accompanied with a very problem in the envelope that the card is gkued to, the disclaimer for truth in lending informing you of a HUGE INTEREST RATE. So, in January when it shows up, call and cancel the card and cut it up, those offers will probably be there for new card members next year!
Nice Site layout for your blog. I am looking forward to reading more from you.
