Food Challenge Update!

I thought we would touch in on how we are managing with our food challenge of the week. I dove into the freezer this morning and decided to use some beef, broth, beans and veggies, to make a soup. In the crock pot it went. When dinner time approached, we were pretty excited and baked up a loaf of wheat bread to break with the soup. Well, needless to say, it was…..ok. But how much fault can I place on the chef? Well as little as possible because it was me. How does this affect accomplishing debt elimination?

I can safely say that I have thrown away at least $10.00 in food out of the freezer that should not have gone to waste. That money along with the multitude of other times I have done the same thing could have and should have gone to better use, like paying bills.

I am proud to say that the freezer is half empty and we have found some space in the cupboards. Remember, the next step toward our food challenge is the boot camp week. $10.00 a day to feed a family of four. Stay tuned!
