So much of what I see, read, and hear, leads me to conclude that most conversations are wrapped around negative impacts and implications of economic down-turns, poverty and loss. Every time we engage in negative conversation regarding the economy, debt, or income, we propagate the spread of the sense of failure and loss.
I implore you to focus on yourself. I find myself drawn into conversation regarding economic struggles, the job market, living expenses, and I realize that I too joined a band wagon that is missing a few wheels. Pay close attention to what you say. It is imperative that we lead the pack with positive thought and words. The more we practice positive thought and word, the more we will believe in our ability to make changes.
Telling people that you are newly committed to eliminating debt and living a debt free life will increase your resolve to keep working even when times get harder. Try to steer negative conversation toward finding ways to improve the issue that the conversation is about. If it is about a job loss, use your experience to suggest web sites and organizations that can help. If it is a lack of something, steer the conversation toward ways to increase the availability of money, time, energy. We all have experiences that can offer worthwhile information to others that will benefit them and they to you. It is important to focus on the positive aspects of life. Think it, speak it, practice it, believe it.
